Welcome to B.E. Delight!

This is my space to share some insightful nuggets and pure delight. Enjoy!

Happy spring! Channeling all things spring on a gorgeously clear day.

In honor of the recent Equinox, the astrological new year, and new beginnings everywhere, I’m sharing this John O’Donohue poem again. I had the special treat of hearing it read aloud recently by the lovely teacher-astrologer Heidi Rose Robbins. It made my spine tingle!

In out-of-the-way places of the heart,
Where your thoughts never think to wander,
This beginning has been quietly forming,
Waiting until you were ready to emerge.

For a long time it has watched your desire,
Feeling the emptiness grow inside you,
Noticing how you willed yourself on,
Still unable to leave what you had outgrown.

It watched you play with the seduction of safety
And the grey promises that sameness whispered,
Heard the waves of turmoil rise and relent,
Wondered would you always live like this.

Then the delight, when your courage kindled,
And out you stepped onto new ground,
Your eyes young again with energy and dream,
A path of plenitude opening before you.

Though your destination is not clear
You can trust the promise of this opening;
Unfurl yourself into the grace of beginning
That is one with your life’s desire.

Awaken your spirit to adventure;
Hold nothing back, learn to find ease in risk;
Soon you will be home in a new rhythm
For your soul senses the world that awaits you.

The lines starting with “Unfurl” always give me the same mental image: an enormous ship, opening its sails to the wind, pulling out of harbor like it’s saying, “let’s go”! How about you?

I’m loving this cute glass water bottle! I’ve already dropped it without shattering, so it gets high marks in my book.

There are a ton of interesting movies coming out this year, and these three look especially delightful.

Ocean's 8: Talk about a seriously badass cast!

Fantastic Beasts 2: The Crimes of Grindelwald: Other than the glaring error at the start because EVERYONE knows that you can’t apparate inside Hogwarts grounds… ;) I'm curious to see Jude Law as Dumbledore! I'm on board.

Mary Poppins Returns: Emily Blunt as Mary Poppins! Yes, please!
